Provisional Recorder John T. McCorkle

John was born in Las Vegas Nevada in 1963.  After joining the US Navy in 1983 and completing electronics technician training, he was stationed at NAVCOMSTA Harold E. Holt in Western Australia in 1984, where he met his wife, Roni. John left the Navy in 1989 and moved to the Pilbara in WA in 1993 where he worked in the Iron Ore industry for a decade.

John is the CEO of Occupational Skills Centre Australia, a Registered Training Organisation since 2009, and the founder of the BEE-LEAF ACADEMY, a Charity based in Brisbane Qld, that focuses on empowering its members by practical based training in Beekeeping and Horticulture.

A Mason since 1993, John went into the Chair at Fortescue Lodge No. 329 WAC in 1999 and again at Shorncliffe Lodge No. 420 UGLQ, from 2023 – 2025.  John holds the rank of Past Grand Junior Deacon.

John’s childhood memories are filled with Shriner events – parades, circuses and more – and to be able to be a part of this great organisation is both an honour and a privilege, and is the crowning achievement of his masonic career.
