Chief Rabban The Chief Rabban is the 1st Vice President and assists the Potentate in his duties, standing in as his replacement if he is unavailable. He is also Chairman of the Finance and Fundraising Committees and prepares a budget for the ensuing year and submits it to the members for approval at the Shrine Center's Annual Meeting. He also assists the Hospital Chairman, as needed, and performs other duties as requested by the Potentate. Noble James R. Targett was born in Southampton, England, and moved to Brisbane in December 1994. A veteran of the British Army since 1974, he joined the Australian Defense Force in 1995. James R. Targett 2026 Noble James R. Targett was born in Southampton, Hampshire in England Before moving to Brisbane in December 1994. A veteran of the British Army from 1974, James joined the Australian Defense Force in 1995. Initiated into Australian No. 1 Lodge in 2008 and raised in 2009, James served as Worshipful Master of North Australian No.1 Lodge in 2014 and joined the Shriners in 2022. He was honoured to be a founding President of the Brisbane Shrine Club. James currently serves as First Principle of Beaudesert Royal Arch Chapter No. 69, and a member of Six other Dependent Orders within the United Grand Lodge of Queensland. His hobbies include keeping fit through golf and shooting, spending time with his lovely wife Maria, four children, and four Grandchildren, and anything to do with Shriners. Noble James R. Potentate Leslie (Les) Dikes The Potentate is, essentially, the President of our Shrine Chapter and is elected annually by the shrine members to lead our efforts. He is responsible to the Imperial Divan for the proper government of his Shrine Chapter and to ensure that officers and nobles observe Shrine Laws and the By-Laws of his Shrine Center. He is also responsible for the appointment of certain Shrine Officers and Committeemen, as well as the oversight of the same. Biography Chief Rabban James R. Biography High Priest and Prophet John T. McCorkle The High Priest and Prophet is the 3rd Vice President and serves as the invocationist in the absence of the Chaplain. He aids Assistant Rabban and can perform other duties as requested by the Potentate. Biography Oriental Guide TBD The Oriental Guide is the 4th Vice President and is in charge of fraternal relations by assisting with outreach to Blue Lodges, York and Scottish Rites, Order of the Eastern Star and Daughters of the Nile, DeMolay, and the Widows Sons. He aids High Priest and Prophet and can perform other duties as requested by the Potentate. Biography Recorder James Boicie The Recorder acts as the Corporate Secretary and recorder of all Divan and Shrine meetings and votes, ensuring that all aspects of our Shirne Center's operations are consistent with the rules, bylaws, and mandates of Shriners International. He also is the primary business manager of the Shrine Center, providing oversight, direction, and coordination of our office operations and staff. Biography Treasurer Jonathan (Jonno) Evans The Treasurer oversees all our Shrine Center's & Hospital finances, investments, and accounts under the control of our Shrine Chapter and ensures proper accounting of the same. Biography Meet The Divan Members The Divan Members are the Elected Shrine Leadership Board of Directors Potentate – This is the Chairman of the Board. It is an elected position. The Nobles, who are members, vote annually for their choice of Potentate. Chief Rabban – 1st Vice President. As with the Potentate, this is also an elected position. Assistant Rabban – 2nd Vice President. This is also an elected position. High Priest and Prophet – 3rd Vice President. Another elected position. Oriental Guide – 4th Vice President – Yet another elected position. Treasurer - Disburses approved funds Recorder - Serves as secretary to the board, and conducts day-to-day operations and much more. The elected Board of Directors is the management team of our Shrine Chapter.

Shriners can pay their Membership Dues online. A Shrine ID Number and Member Number will be needed to verify the Shriner. It is quick and easy to pay your membership dues online. Pay Membership Dues As a Shriner, you are part of an international fraternity of 100's of Thousands of members throughout the world dedicated to philanthropy and service. Our mission is to help children in need. By paying your Shrine membership dues, you are helping support Shriners Hospitals for Children and our philanthropic work worldwide. Your dues also helps us to provide support to our Shrine Centers, and programs that improve the quality of life for children. We are proud of the work we do and grateful for your membership support. By paying your membership dues, you are making a difference in the lives of children around the world and can participate in 1 of the oldest and well known fraternities in town. Current Year Membership Dues, are always due on or before January First (1st) of that membership year. A current Dues Card is required to attend all Shrine meetings and events. Yearly dues renewal notices, are mailed out to all Nobles, in October, for the upcoming year by Shriners International. During the year, at least two dues notices, and a “Notice of Suspension”, are printed and mailed automatically to those members who are not paid for the current year. If you have paid your dues, and have not yet received your card or yearly update sticker, or have lost your card, please contact our Shrine business office at info@acruxshriners.org .
