Shriners know how to mix learning with laughter. A group dinner at a local pub led to an unexpected hit – axe throwing! Nobles Nick and Doug demonstrated their skills, hitting bullseyes with overhead throws.

The Imperial Session was an amazing event to be a part of. We made many new friends, attended membership seminars and increased our knowledge and understanding of Shrinedom and the successful operation and management of a Temple. We return home with not just memories, but with renewed purpose, insight and pride.

Among the many Shriners we met during our stay, we were fortunate to meet with members of Azan Shriners (below) who are in Melbourne, Florida. We discussed the possibility of twinning our two shrine Temples and this created excitement and discussion on how we could make this happen. Imperial Session will be held in Tampa, Florida next year, so we will work on this project in the meantime.

Monday morning was a momentous occasion – Acrux Shriners application for Chartered Temple status was officially recognised. This marks a significant step for our Temple, affirming our commitment and dedication to the mission of Shrinedom in Australia.
